Mirosław Czekaj has extensive experience of nearly 30 years in managing large business entities, including banks and financial institutions.

From 1996 to 1997, he was a member of the Supervisory Board of Pomorski Bank Kredytowy in Szczecin.

From 2004 to 2006, he was vice-president of Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, overseeing the bank’s commercial activities, cooperation with commercial customers and local authorities and the management of the branch network. He currently supervises strategic management and finance division at BGK.

From 2009 to 2016, he was Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board of PKO Bank Polski and Chairman of the Audit Committee at the bank, where he oversaw, among other things, the financial reporting process, internal audit, risk management, compliance management and external audit.

He has been chairman or member of supervisory boards on a number of occasions, including Miejskie Zakłady Autobusowe, Metro Warszawskie, Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Taksówkowe and the Narodowy Fundusz Ochrony Środowiska i Gospodarki Wodnej.

From January 2007 to April 2024, Miroslaw Czekaj served as Treasurer of the City of Warsaw, where he was responsible for, among other things, financial management and policy, consolidated reporting of more than 1,000 entities, taxation and accounting. He was also responsible for debt, liquidity and financial risk management, including securities issues and cooperation with international financial institutions, banks, rating agencies and auditors.

Miroslaw Czekaj, Ph.D. (Post-doctoral degree) is a professor at the Collegium of Business Administration SGH Warsaw School of Economics, where he specialises in scientific issues relating in particular to public finance, including budget planning and financial reporting. He is the author of dozens of publications on these topics in national and international scientific journals.

Teresa Czerwińska is a Professor of Economics at the Warsaw University specialising in finances and risk management.
Prof. Teresa Czerwińska was appointed the Vice President of the European Investment Bank in March 2020. She is supervising InvestEU – joint programme of EIB and European Commission. She is responsible for EIB investments in areas of innovation, digital economy, also areas of science and education. In this role, alongside looking after the constituency countries (Poland, Hungary and Croatia) she is overseeing Eastern Partnership countries as well as Central Asia, China and Mongolia.
She is a graduate of the Faculty of Management (1998) and the Faculty of Social Sciences (1997) of the University of Gdańsk. From the beginning of her professional career, she has been associated with the financial sector in academic, business and supervisory dimensions. She is an author and co-author of several dozen scientific publications in the field of risk management of financial institutions, financial system stability and investments.
Prior to becoming EIB Vice-President, prof. T. Czerwińska was a member of the management board of the National Bank of Poland, Minister of Finance of the Republic of Poland. She was also a Governor of the European Investment Bank, a Governor of International Monetary Fund and a member of the board of Asian Infrastructure Bank. Earlier she held the position of the Undersecretary of State being responsible for the state budget at the Ministry of Finance. Before, in the years 2015 – 2017, she was the Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. She was a member of The Insurance and Reinsurance Stakeholder Group (IRSG) at the European Insurance Supervision (EIOPA).

Elzbieta Czetwertynska Managing Director Citi Country Officer Poland / CEO Citi Handlowy Elzbieta Czetwertynska was appointed Citi Country Officer Poland / CEO Citi Handlowy in June 2021 and in June 2022 received additional responsibility for Ukraine. Prior to her current role, Elzbieta was Citi Country Officer for Switzerland, Monaco and Liechtenstein, based in Zurich. She assumed that role in March 2019, after a five-year stint in Latin America. Before moving to Switzerland, Elzbieta was Citi Country Officer, and Corporate and Investment Banking Head in Ecuador. Elzbieta has been at Citi for 29 years, working in different countries in Europe and Latin America. She joined Citi Ecuador as corporate bank relationship manager in 1994. From 1999 to 2003, she was Head of Transaction Services, Asset-Based Finance and the SME segment in the Dominican Republic, before moving to the United States for a year as internal auditor covering corporate credit for Latin America. In 2004, Elzbieta moved to Europe where she joined Citi Handlowy’s risk management team in Poland and was appointed Senior Credit Officer a year later. Her last four years in Poland she led the Commercial Bank business. Elzbieta returned to Latin America in 2013 as Head of Citi Colombia’s Treasury and Trade Solutions business, where she successfully developed and executed a dynamic growth strategy. Elzbieta holds a BSc Hons in Food Science, Economics and Marketing from the University of Reading, England. She is a certified coach in leadership and sales programs and has facilitated several risk management trainings. She served as President of the Board of Directors for Amcham Ecuador, as well as board member of the Ecuadorian Banking Association and Junior Achievement Ecuador Foundation. In Switzerland Elzbieta was a board member of the Association of Foreign Banks in Switzerland. At present, she is in the Board of Amcham Poland, the Polish Banking Association, and she serves as President of the Board of Citi Ukraine.

An experienced financial market expert who developed his career at HSBC Poland for over a decade. Between 2008-2022, he held numerous key positions within the Global Markets division. From 2020-2022, he served as the Treasurer of HSBC Poland while also coordinating the ESG product offering across Central and Eastern Europe and emerging markets within the European time zone. During his time at the bank, he participated in significant transactions, including Poland’s pioneering Panda bond issuance in China and the country’s first-ever Green Bonds issuance. Since 2022, he has served as a board member of TFI PZU, overseeing the association’s investment division.
Co-founder and board member of the Poland Sustainable Investment Forum, as well as a programme council member at the Institute for Reforms think tank. In 2023, he played a key role in developing the UNEP FI report on “Just Transition” for the insurance sector, which was presented at COP28. In 2024, he contributed to EFRAG’s advisory group, supporting the creation of the CSRD sector standard for insurance companies.

Wojciech Drzewiecki, President of the Samar Automotive Market Research Institute.
He graduated from the Faculty of Automotive and Construction Machinery Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology. In the 1990s, while working for Nissan Poland and later Ford Poland, he developed his analytical skills, gradually expanding the scope of information he collected. Today, Samar’s studies are used by manufacturers and dealers, but also by government representatives, banks, leasing companies and many others. His sound knowledge of the automotive industry has enabled him to establish cooperation with the world’s leading market analytics companies. W. Jakub Faryś – as from 2002 the president of PZPM, organization, that since then has become the largest Polish automotive industry employers’ organization for manufacturers of motor vehicles, motorcycles, mopeds and motorized four-wheelers, as well as manufacturers of vehicle bodies, trailers, semi-trailers, parts or components of motor vehicles for original assembly in Poland. He supports activities for the development and promotion of Polish automotive sector. As the head of PZPM involved in the work of the governmental and the parliamentary committees; provides the most relevant opinions on draft legal acts concerning the automotive industry. Representing the interests of member companies in the organs the European Union – incl. the European Parliament and the European Commission he regularly participates in meetings of European industry organizations: ACEA (European Association of Vehicle Manufacturers), ACEM (European Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers) and CLCCR – (European Association of Manufacturers of Semi-trailers and Trailers). The author of many publications in the economic and automotive press; commentator on the problems of the industry and its environment.

Michal Gomowski graduated from Gdansk Technical University in 1994. In 1994-95 he continued studying as a scholarship holder from the French Government at the Management Department of the French Institute of Oil in Paris. He also studied in Oxford and Vilnius.
Having returned to Poland he started working as a Technical & Sales Consultant in Shell, where he became first a Sales Director and later the Managing Director of a distributive company belonging to the group.
In 1999 he took up the position of Managing Director of Europe Assistance, a company belonging to the Generali Group. During that period EA signed strategically important agreements with the banking and automotive sector.
At the beginning of 2002 he took up the post of CEO of Arval company belonging to BNP Paribas Bank.
Within three years Arval became a leader in the operational leasing and car fleet management industry in Poland.
In 2004 he returned to the Generali Group, first as a Board Member, then as the Executive Vice-President of Generali Companies in Poland. Within the group of top 10 insurance companies in Poland, Generali has enjoyed record growth for the last three years.
In 2010 he joined Aviva Group as a Vice President where he has been managing one of the largest network of exclusive agents in Poland and been building a sales network in a Multiagencies channel. He received plenty of various awards including the “Rzeczpospolita” for the best Life Insurance Company in 2011.
At the beginning of 2013 he was appointed as a Vice-President of Compensa Non-Life, where he is responsible for the technical division – oversees the tariff controlling and underwriting in motor, individual customer, corporate and SME departments.

In her capacity, Bożena Graczyk has been CFO at ING Bank Śląski S.A. in Poland since 2017. Previously, from 1994 she was associated with KPMG, where she held the positions of Head of Accounting Advisory Services, and then Head of the Financial Risk Management Team. She became Partner, Financial Services in 2001.

Bożena Graczyk is a graduate of the Foreign Trade Faculty at the University of Lodz. She holds an Executive MBA in International Business from the University of Bristol, UK and École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, France and is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at the IESE Business School. She is a certified auditor.

Director in Risk Consulting EY practice with over 15 years of experience in the insurance sector and business advisory. He specializes in non life insurance pricing, risk modelling, and actuarial modelling. In recent years, he has delivered numerous pricing projects covering premium modelling, portfolio management, and the implementation of modern pricing platforms.
He is a certified actuary and a graduate of Mathematics at the Warsaw University of Technology and Economics at the University of Warsaw.

Since January 2014 Paweł has been the Director of the Services and Consulting Department and a member of Leadership in the Polish branch of Microsoft. Paweł joined Microsoft almost 5 years ago as FSI Lead in EPG segment. Together with the team he was responsible for serving the largest Polish banks and insurance companies. As a result of his consistent delivery and ability to build sustainable business Paweł was awarded a Platinum Club FY13. Additionally, he proved his seniority and leadership in couple of initiatives e.g. Microsoft Executive Circle or board membership in Banking Technology Forum of the Polish Banking Association. Before joining Microsoft, Paweł spent 15 years on FSI market on business side in Kredyt Bank, Gerling, Zurich Financial Services as Sales & Marketing Director including executive VP/Board Member role in Zurich/Inter. He was responsible for 5 years for sales and marketing in Software AG, leading web Methods division and BPM team and delivered the significant business growth in Poland. During the merger with WebMethods he was responsible for the area of business processes and middle ware.

Dr Krzysztof Korus is an attorney with a doctorate in law, and an economist. He is an expert on payment services, new technologies law, and banking law. Every year since 2015, he has been listed as a recommended lawyer in Chambers Europe in the Banking & Finance category (“strong experience in banking regulatory matters”, “deep knowledge and long experience”). He is a pioneer in advising on regulatory issues for the fintech sector in Poland. Among the issues he has advised on are implementation of PSD2 and opening banking, and he has advised on several dozen cases before financial market regulators in Poland and in Europe, on M&A deals on the fintech market, and on court litigation and arbitration cases between financial institutions. He has worked in the most important industry working groups for the fintech sector, such as the EC’s API Evaluation Group, the Polish API team, the fintech innovation development working group for the Polish Financial Supervision Authority, the Ministry for Digital Affairs “Blockchain and cryptocurrency” stream in the scheme “From a Paper to a Digital Poland”, and the Financial Market Development Council working group for implementation of the PSD. He co-authored the “Study Impact of the PSD” and “Principles, Definitions and Model Rules of European Private Law” for the European Commission, and sat on the programming council for the monthly “Banking Law Monitor”. He also gained experience as an external consultant for the largest Polish telecommunications companies, such as Orange and Polkomtel.

While working at ABB, he developed and implemented a videoconferencing and communication strategy for all company branches.

He is a graduate of Mathematics and Computer Science at Nicolaus Copernicus University.

For over a decade, he served as President of the Management Board of PKO Ubezpieczenia. For many years, he also served on the Audit Committee of the Polish Chamber of Insurance (PIU).

Wojciech Mach joined Comarch in June 2025, taking on the role of Vice President in the Financial Services Division, where he is responsible for the strategy and business growth of IT solutions for banking, insurance, and capital markets. He has extensive experience in management, organizational scaling, revenue diversification, and leading brand expansion into global markets. For nearly seven years, he served as CEO of GFT Poland, overseeing the implementation of numerous pioneering projects. He also developed his professional career at Procter & Gamble, Hewlett-Packard, and Luxoft.
He is an experienced leader in digital transformation and process optimization, as well as an expert in building and developing teams in the IT services market. A strong advocate of artificial intelligence and the impact of new technologies on business and society, he actively promotes continuous learning. Tomasz Motyl, Chief Information Officer at Unicredit NV/SA, is responsible for implementing the company’s technology and information strategy across all platforms, with a particular focus on Banking as a Service, embedded banking solutions and GenAI. He was instrumental in the transformation of the traditional Banca Monte Paschi Belgio into the digital and the cloud, mobile-first bank – Aion Bank, one of 25 M&A projects he has overseen from an IT perspective.

Before joining UniCredit, Tomasz was Head of Development at Vodeno, a cloud-based core banking platform. He also spent over a decade at Alior Bank, where he held several senior positions, including Chief Innovation Officer, Deputy Director at T-Mobile Usługi Bankowe (delivered by Alior Bank), and IT Director. As CIO, he oversaw the Innovation LAB and the development of a new IT platform for the bank.

Tomasz also has extensive experience in the banking sector, having worked for over six years as Deputy Director at Bank BPH, where he supervised IT development, and nearly eight years at Bank Przemysłowo-Handlowy (predecessor of Bank BPH) as Chief of the Application Implementation Team.

Tomasz holds an MSc in Automatics and Robotics from AGH University of Science and Technology, an MBA from Lincoln International Business School, and an Executive Certificate in Strategy and Innovation from MIT Sloan School of Management. He is also an alumnus of the Advanced Management Program from IESE Business School.

Piotr Narloch has graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Gdansk. He has also completed the postgraduate studies at the Warsaw School of Banking and Insurance, as well as European Insurance Studies in Gdynia. Piotr Narloch has been active in the insurance industry for over 20 years. His professional career began in 1992 in Hestia Sopot as a financial insurance specialist. His next positions were Head of Financial Insurance Department and Head of Sales. In 1999-2001 he used to work for Generali Polska, being responsible for product development and establishing the systems and structures for sales. He also respectively took a function of a board member at Inter Poland and Inter Life, where he was responsible for the sales department, product development and marketing. Since September 2002 a president of the management board of Concordia Polska Group’s companies: Concordia Polska TUW, Concordia Capital and Concordia Innowacje. Currently Mr Narloch is a president of the management board of InterRisk TU SA Vienna Insurance Group. Piotr Narloch has also participated in many local and international courses, conferences and seminars related to insurance, i.e. risk management, negotiations in insurance, insurance marketing and management of insurance companies’ financial assets.

Marcin Nedwidek is a graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics and holds an MBA from the London Business School. At UNIQA, in addition to his role as president, he is also responsible for the retail non-life insurance business. Marcin joined AXA in 2018. He served as a board member and director of the individual client area in the non-life part. Previously, he was associated with The Boston Consulting Group, where he was responsible for developing BCG’s insurance practice in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe. He also worked for another international consulting firm and an investment bank in London.

 Malgorzata Nietopiel is currently working as an advisor to the President of the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS). She began her tenure at ZUS in 1999. As Director of the Prevention and Rehabilitation Department, she led disability and accident prevention initiatives. She was instrumental in organising tenders for rehabilitation services to identify people at risk of incapacity for work and refer them for medical rehabilitation managed by ZUS. She oversaw tenders for co-financing of contribution-payer projects aimed at improving occupational health and safety, reducing accident risks, and mitigating harmful workplace factors.

A graduate of the Faculty of Mathematics at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin and MBA studies at the Warsaw University of Technology. She also completed postgraduate studies in management and “IT in business” at the Warsaw School of Economics. For 20 years she was associated with the ING Group. She started her career at ING Barings, then she worked in the IT Division of ING Bank Śląski, following the path from a specialist to the Director of the IT Support Department. From 2006, as the President of the Management Board, she built ING Tech Poland, the technology center of the ING Group providing IT services, including cybersecurity and cloud solutions, to clients in over 20 countries. In 2017, she took up the position of Head of IT Poland at Nordea, taking part, among others, in building the Nordea Horizon Center – a modern IT monitoring and operations center. As Global Head of Technology Sourcing, she was also responsible at Nordea for the implementation of the strategy for the use of global IT service centers. Since January 2021, he has been the Vice President of the Management Board of BNP Paribas Bank Polska S.A. supervising the Area of ​​New Technologies and Cybersecurity.

Ms Magdalena Nowicka is actively involved in projects supporting the development of women in the world of new technologies. She is a mentor of the “Technology in a skirt” program.

As Head of International, Mark Osterloff spearheads SIGNAL IDUNA Group’s primary insurance business outside of Germany and serves on the supervisory board of SIGNAL IDUNA in Poland. Holding a master’s degree in Economics and Engineering, Mark began his career advising major banking and insurance clients as a partner at a mid-sized consultancy. He later transitioned into the insurance industry, taking on various leadership roles before joining SIGNAL IDUNA in 2011. A Hamburg resident of German and Finnish heritage, Mark is married and has two sons.

Andrzej Sołdek is a graduate of the SGH Warsaw School of Economics. In 2023, he earned a PhD in Social Sciences in the discipline of Economics and Finance.
He holds professional licenses as a securities broker (1992), investment advisor (1994), and the CFA designation (2004).
From the beginning of his career, he has been associated with entities in the financial sector. He gained professional experience within the ING Group, where he worked from 1992 to 1998. From 1998 to 2002, he was associated with Zurich PTE S.A., where he held senior executive positions (CEO, CFO, CIO). Between 2003 and 2016, he worked at PTE PZU SA, serving as Deputy CEO and CIO, and later as CEO.
From 2018 to 2020, he was a Management Board Member and Chief Financial Officer at Skarbiec TFI and Skarbiec Holding. He has also served on the supervisory boards of both public and private companies.
He is currently the President of the Management Board of PTE PZU SA and an assistant professor at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics.

Anna Spyrzyńska‑Kołda is the Managing Director of the Transformation and Strategy Division at UNIQA in Poland. She is an expert in strategy and organizational transformation, with a strong focus on the practical implementation of artificial intelligence, including GenAI solutions, in large financial institutions. She has extensive experience in designing and scaling AI use cases, establishing AI governance models, and integrating technology, data, and processes to deliver sustainable business value. Prior to joining UNIQA, she spent many years at McKinsey & Company, leading complex transformation and digital programs for financial institutions across four continents. She is a graduate of Wrocław University of Economics and INSEAD (MBA) and holds the CFA designation.

Katarzyna Szymielewicz is a lawyer, activist, publicist. Co-founder and President of the Panoptykon Foundation, the only NGO in Poland tackling the problems related to human rights and new technologies. Member of the Council for Digital Affairs advising Polish government. Vice-president of European Digital Rights in 2012-2020. Since 2019 the hostess of Panoptykon 4.0 podcast. She published, among others, in The Guardian, Polityka, Gazeta Wyborcza, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna and Pismo magazine.

Philippe Tibi has spent most of his career in technology and banking. He worked for 26 years at UBS, where he was Country Head for France/Investment banking.
Since 2018, he has led the “initiative Tibi”, whose purpose is to finance VCs and global tech funds in France, on behalf of the French government. 37 LPs have now pledged €15bn in technology asset classes. France is now the leading EU go to place to invest in technology.
Within the initiative, over 130 VC/growth equity funds manage a total of € 35+bn, 30 Global tech public equity funds manage a total of € 15bn. We anticipate that by the end of 2026, VCs and Global tech funds will manage € 55-70 bn.

Józef Wancer is a member of the board of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Foundation, chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in Poland and a member of the council of the Business Centre Club. In 2005, Józef Wancer was awarded the Gold Cross of Merit for notable achievements in the banking industry during the period of transformation, and in 2011 was awarded the Order of Polonia Restituta.

Professor Małgorzata Zaleska is a member of the Management Board of the National Bank of Poland, a member of the Economic and Financial Committee for the Council of the European Union, Vice-President of the Committee on Financial Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Since 2013, Małgorzata Zaleska has been with the Institute of Banking and Business Insurance of the Warsaw School of Economics, acting as Head of the Department of Banking and the Security of the Financial System. She has authored of over 330 academic and popular science publications.
In 1998-2003 Professor Zaleska was an advisor to the President of the Bank Guarantee Fund; in 2000-2002 she served on the Supervisory Board of the Warsaw Stock Exchange; in 2007 – she was a member of the Commission for Banking Supervision. In 2007-2009, Małgorzata Zaleska held the position of the President of the Management Board of the Bank Guarantee Fund. In 2008-2009 she was also a member of the Management Board of International Association of Deposit Insurers and Chairperson of the Research Group of the European Forum of Deposit Insurers. In 2012, Małgorzata Zaleska was elected to the Central Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles within the scope of economics (finances).

For nearly 30 years, he has been professionally associated with Accenture, where he has held the role of Managing Director since 2005. From 2005 to 2013, he led the IT technology practice at Accenture in Poland. Between 2013 and 2015, he built the banking digital transformation practice in Poland, and since 2016, he became the leader of the global practice specializing in digital banking startups.

From 2017 to 2019, he led the program that resulted in the creation of a new digital bank in France, overseeing until 2023 the banks evolution, maintenance and operational continuity.
