Roger Hodgkiss joined Generali Poland as CSO in November 2019, and was appointed CEO in November 2020. 

He has decades of experience in various top management positions in the insurance industry. After a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Liverpool University, Roger qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ACA) with Deloitte in 1992. After several Finance and Operational roles with GE Capital, Roger joined RSA Insurance (British Group) in 2006 as CEO of Balta, the largest insurer in Latvia. From 2008-2009 Roger represented RSA in the JV with DIFI Insurance (Israel), establishing start-up Insurers in Poland, Czech and Russia. When RSA took full ownership of Link4 in 2009, Roger took over as CEO and led Link4 from 2009-2016. PZU purchased Link4 in 2014 and Roger was appointed to the main Board of PZU in 2016, responsible for all Non-Life Business. During his time in PZU Roger also chaired the Supervisory Boards of PZU’s businesses in the Baltics. After leaving PZU in 2019, Roger joined Generali Poland.

Outside of work, Roger’s interests are family (daughter Georgia, son William) and sport, having played both Rugby and Cricket at a high level throughout his adult life.

Sławomir Łopalewski is a Member of the Board and a Managing Director of LUX MED Ubezpieczenia and a manager with many years of experience in complex insurance business building, mainly in bancassurance and multi-channel models. He is known for his excellent understanding of current needs, his determination to find solutions and his out-of-the-box approach to managing teams and projects. He was CEO of PKO Ubezpieczenia for more than a decade, previously CEO and Board Member in charge of sales and marketing of Nordea Życie, and a long-time member of the Audit Committee of PIU. He also worked for many years in consulting companies, mainly Deloitte Consulting. Sławomir is a graduate of IESE Business School/AMP and management courses at Harvard Business School and Kellogg School of Management, as well as the Warsaw School of Economics and Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan.

Mr. Mariusz Cholewa is a graduate of the University of Gdańsk, the Faculty of Management. In 2005 he obtained his PhD Degree in Economics. He also completed postgraduate studies in Banking and Finance, with the specialisation in Investment Banking, conducted by the London Guidhall University, the Gdańsk Banking Academy and the University of Gdańsk.
In the years 1993 -1998 he cooperated with the Gdańsk Banking Academy, as a Management Board member, participating at the same time in the research on the financial restructuring of enterprises and banks pursued by the Gdańsk Institute of Market Economics. In the years 1995 -2003 he was an associate professor at the Faculty of Management at the University of Gdańsk. In the period of 2007 – 2010 he was the CEO of Bank Rozwoju Cukrownictwa S.A. In 1998 Mariusz Cholewa joined Bank Handlowy w Warszawie S.A. (Citi Handlowy), where he held a number of managerial positions, and till April 2013 he was the Director of the Strategy Department. He was a member of supervisory boards of many companies for e.g.: banks, investment and insurance companies including public granted companies. In the years 2012 – 2013 he was a member of Biuro Informacji Kredytowej S.A. Supervisory Board.
He has been the President of the BIK Management Board since June 2013. He is also the President of the Supervisory Board of BIG InfoMonitor S.A. – Economic Information Bureau.
Since June 2017 he has been the VicePresident of the Management Board of ACCIS (Association of Consumer Credit Information Suppliers) that represents the largest group of credit registers in the world.

Franz Fuchs began his career in the insurance industry as an actuary. Before joining Vienna Insurance Group he held leading management positions in other international companies as a specialist in the life insurance area and pension funds. In 2003-2014 Franz Fuchs was the President of the Management Board of Compensa Non-life and Compensa Life. Since 2003 he has been overseeing VIG companies in Poland. On 1 October 2009 Franz Fuchs was appointed to the Managing Board of Vienna Insurance Group, where currently he supervises Group’s operational activities in the area of motor, accident, health & life insurance.

Michal Gomowski graduated from Gdansk Technical University in 1994. In 1994-95 he continued studying as a scholarship holder from the French Government at the Management Department of the French Institute of Oil in Paris. He also studied in Oxford and Vilnius.
Having returned to Poland he started working as a Technical & Sales Consultant in Shell, where he became first a Sales Director and later the Managing Director of a distributive company belonging to the group.
In 1999 he took up the position of Managing Director of Europe Assistance, a company belonging to the Generali Group. During that period EA signed strategically important agreements with the banking and automotive sector.
At the beginning of 2002 he took up the post of CEO of Arval company belonging to BNP Paribas Bank.
Within three years Arval became a leader in the operational leasing and car fleet management industry in Poland.
In 2004 he returned to the Generali Group, first as a Board Member, then as the Executive Vice-President of Generali Companies in Poland. Within the group of top 10 insurance companies in Poland, Generali has enjoyed record growth for the last three years.
In 2010 he joined Aviva Group as a Vice President where he has been managing one of the largest network of exclusive agents in Poland and been building a sales network in a Multiagencies channel. He received plenty of various awards including the “Rzeczpospolita” for the best Life Insurance Company in 2011.
At the beginning of 2013 he was appointed as a Vice-President of Compensa Non-Life, where he is responsible for the technical division – oversees the tariff controlling and underwriting in motor, individual customer, corporate and SME departments.

Since 2016, CEO of D.A.S. Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń Ochrony Prawnej S.A.
From 2012 to 2016, he held the position of CEO of Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń Euler Hermes S.A. and CEO of Euler Hermes Services Sp. z o.o. Previously, he worked as Managing Director with Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń i Reasekuracji Warta S.A., one of the largest insurance companies in Poland. He is highly qualified in management, planning and business strategy development. He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw with an MA degree in law. In 2002, he completed postgraduate Management Studies at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH).

Since January 2014 Paweł has been the Director of the Services and Consulting Department and a member of Leadership in the Polish branch of Microsoft. Paweł joined Microsoft almost 5 years ago as FSI Lead in EPG segment. Together with the team he was responsible for serving the largest Polish banks and insurance companies. As a result of his consistent delivery and ability to build sustainable business Paweł was awarded a Platinum Club FY13. Additionally, he proved his seniority and leadership in couple of initiatives e.g. Microsoft Executive Circle or board membership in Banking Technology Forum of the Polish Banking Association. Before joining Microsoft, Paweł spent 15 years on FSI market on business side in Kredyt Bank, Gerling, Zurich Financial Services as Sales & Marketing Director including executive VP/Board Member role in Zurich/Inter. He was responsible for 5 years for sales and marketing in Software AG, leading web Methods division and BPM team and delivered the significant business growth in Poland. During the merger with WebMethods he was responsible for the area of business processes and middle ware.

Mr. Witold Jaworski graduated from the Poznan University of Economics with the PhD title in the economics area. He has a wide professional experience in the insurance sector. His career began in 1995 from working for an American company Tillinghast Towers Perrin in Frankfurt. The following five years he spent covering analytical positions in the global management consulting firm McKinsey & Company. From 1996 to 2010 he was a part of a scientific team and being in charge of teaching and research assignments in insurance finance and strategy at Poznan University of Economics. Mr. Witold Jaworski from May 2004 till December 2012 was linked to the PZU Group and he filled the following positions:

• Supervisory Board Member in PZU Lietuva and PZU Lietuva Life
• Head of Motor Insurance Product Management, Head of P&C Product Department, Managing Director P&C, Products and Sales in PZU S.A., Product Management Department / Sales Department
• Supervisory Board Member in PZU Pension Fund (Vice Chairman), PZU TFI (Chairman)
• Board Member in PZU Non-Life and PZU Life

After two years at the position of CEO in Polish branch of Allianz, once more he joined the Management Board of PZU Group. He is responsible for Marketing Department: Bureau of Product Management, Marketing Office, Analysis and Actuarial Office, the area of analytical CRM, Director of the Individual Client Segment, Director of Customer Segment SME).

Attorney-at-law, graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw.
His entire professional career is related to the insurance market. After completing judge`s legal training at the Provincial Court of Warsaw and legal adviser’s training, he worked for three years in the National Insurance Supervision Office. In 1999, as an attorney-at-law he joined Allianz Poland. Following this, he successively took up positions of: legal advisors team coordinator, manager and head of legal department. In 2015 he was appointed Vice-president of the Management Board and Chief Operating Officer at Allianz Poland.
His professional interests focus on civil liability insurance. In addition he is Chairman of the Civil Liability Insurance Subcommittee at Polish Chamber of Insurance, representing Poland in the Civil Responsibility Committee of Insurance Europe.

Graduate of Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Nicolaus Copernicus in Toruń. She started her professional career as an insurance and reinsurance broker in 2010, actively practicing for 8 years. She specialized in international cooperation, closely cooperating with e.g. the Lloyd’s of London market.
The experience gained allowed Joanna to take up a new challenge: to create a Polish version of the GTC comparison system. From 2018, at Comadso Sp. z o.o. coordinates and co-creates a program that improves the sale of individual product policies. She is committed to promoting the idea of digitizing insurance in Poland.

Rafał is an alumni of the MBA studies at the Executive Academy of the University of Economics in Vienna and Minnesota University – Carlson School of Management, as well as the Leading Digital and Innovation Program at INSEAD (European campus). At the end of 2019, he took the position of CEO at Beesafe, the new digital brand of the Polish subsidiary of Vienna Insurance Group (VIG)—a leading Austrian company operating in Central and Eastern Europe. He joined VIG in 2002 to manage the Finance and Accounting departments. Since 2016, he has been responsible for change management, IT, and customer service for claims handling. Rafał is also responsible for Genesis, the digital transformation program that was implemented in 2017 as part of the VIG strategy “Agenda 2020.”

Piotr Narloch has graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Gdansk. He has also completed the postgraduate studies at the Warsaw School of Banking and Insurance, as well as European Insurance Studies in Gdynia. Piotr Narloch has been active in the insurance industry for over 20 years. His professional career began in 1992 in Hestia Sopot as a financial insurance specialist. His next positions were Head of Financial Insurance Department and Head of Sales. In 1999-2001 he used to work for Generali Polska, being responsible for product development and establishing the systems and structures for sales. He also respectively took a function of a board member at Inter Poland and Inter Life, where he was responsible for the sales department, product development and marketing. Since September 2002 a president of the management board of Concordia Polska Group’s companies: Concordia Polska TUW, Concordia Capital and Concordia Innowacje. Currently Mr Narloch is a president of the management board of InterRisk TU SA Vienna Insurance Group. Piotr Narloch has also participated in many local and international courses, conferences and seminars related to insurance, i.e. risk management, negotiations in insurance, insurance marketing and management of insurance companies’ financial assets.

Marcin Nedwidek is a graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics and holds an MBA from the London Business School. At UNIQA, in addition to his role as president, he is also responsible for the retail non-life insurance business. Marcin joined AXA in 2018. He served as a board member and director of the individual client area in the non-life part. Previously, he was associated with The Boston Consulting Group, where he was responsible for developing BCG’s insurance practice in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe. He also worked for another international consulting firm and an investment bank in London.

Member of PZU SA and PZU Życie SA Management Board responsible for risk management (Chief Risk Officer). He started his work for PZU in 1998. His experience includes working as the Member of the Management Board in TFI PZU SA as well as holding managerial functions in the area of finance. Before his appointment to the Management Board of PZU SA he was a Member of the Management Board in TFI BGK S.A. He worked as the CEO in ŁSSE S.A. (Lodz Special Economic Zone) and also run economic consulting activity. The member of supervisory boards in PZU Group companies: Alior Bank S.A., PTE PZU SA, Link4 S.A. He was the member of supervisory boards of foreign insurance companies in PZU Group as well as gained experience in supervisory bodies of companies outside PZU Group (e.g. energy sector, real estate sector), including a public listed company. The graduate of the University of Lodz. He finished postgraduate studies in the field of insurance as well as risk management studies in financial institutions organized by the Warsaw School of Economics and the MBA “Finance & Insurance” organized by the Lodz University of Technology/ Illinois State University. Author of scientific publications in the field of insurance and finance.

A graduate of the. Nicolaus Copernicus in Torun, postgraduate studies in Information Technology at the Warsaw University of Technology, master’s degree studies at the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw and the Higher School of Entrepreneurship and Management. Leon Kozminski – MBA IT, participant of doctoral studies at the SGH Management Department in Warsaw. He has extensive experience in managing organizations, especially in areas that use information technology. She has developed and implemented business strategies for many organizations as well as overseeing the functioning of business entities as a member of supervisory boards. Since 2009 related to the insurance sector. In the UFG, as Managing Director, she was responsible for the development of the information function of the Information Center. It also coordinated activities related to the optimization and technological support of key processes implemented by the UFG. From June 2016 he was a Member of the Board of the UFG.

Lecturer at the Institute of Corporation Finance and Investment, College of Business, Warsaw School of Economics. Graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics. Worked among others: Institute of Finance in the Ministry of Finance, University of Insurance and Banking (now the Academy of Finance) In the years 1996 to 2006 as an associate professor and dean of the college. For six years is the Head of Postgraduate Studies (in Warsaw School of Economics – SGH) – Academy of Insurance – Business insurance for enterprises. For many years, the arbitrator in the Court of Arbitration at the Insurance Ombudsman. She has over 100 scientific publications. The main topics of interest are: firstly – insurance, including insurance as a form of risk transfer and bancassurance, and secondly – public finance. Before being appointed as CEO, she was a member of the management board in charge of the finance division. She has extensive experience in the insurance sector, related both to finance and to insurance technique. When she was technical director at LINK4, she headed a department whose responsibilities included product creation and development, product pricing and insurance risk assessment. Until 2010, she was the company’s chief actuary.
She has been associated with the financial sector ever since the start of her career. Her first job was with Ernst & Young consultancy, where she spent four years participating in consulting projects and audits of financial statements of property insurers in Poland.
She graduated from the Warsaw School of Economics, majoring in Quantitative Methods in Economics and Information Systems. She holds an actuarial licence and is a member of ACCA. In her free time, she enjoys hiking in the Tatra Mountains, skiing, diving in warm seas and developing her cooking skills.

A graduate of the University of Silesia, Faculty of Social Sciences and the direction of Health Insurance at the University of Economics in Katowice. In the years 1999 – 2016 he worked in the financial and insurance industry, a. o. for Amplico AIG Life, ING, Pramerica, Signal Iduna, managing sales areas and specializing in the development of insurance products. Since starting work on the Employee Capital Plans project, he is a member of the inter-ministerial team that develops the assumptions of the Program. As a representative of the project team, he analyzed and consulted foreign solutions of employee savings plans.

Graduated from the Koźminski University in Warsaw with a degree in Marketing, Management and Finance & Banking. His wide-range knowledge in the field of strategic management he acquired at the School of Economics and Management at Lund University in Sweden. Moreover, he accomplished International Consulting training in Audencia Nantes Management School. He gained his experience i.a. at Frosta A.G. in Bremerhaven, where he reported directly to the Marketing Director. He performed functions of general director of the Association of Frozen Foods, that brings together dozens of biggest producers of frozen food on Polish market, including representatives of global brands such as: Unilever, Farm Frites, Bonduelle. While working in the Warsaw International Fair he has contributed to organisation of three editions of the largest motor show in Poland – Warsaw International Motor Show. Subsequently, he worked in Expomedia Events Warsaw, where he held the position of director for business development and sponsorship relations. The next stage of his career was transition to conference sector.
