Innovative debt collection in banking sector at time of digitization of judicature

Complete market representation, stormy discussions, more than 520 participants – on 22-23rd of October, 2013 at the Westin Hotel in Warsaw, autumn edition of Banking & Insurance Leaders meetings was held. The meeting was composed of 6th Warsaw International Banking Summit and 2nd Insurance Forum, as well as Innovative debt collection in banking sector at time of digitization of judicature.
The inauguration part, which was common for both, Banking and Insurance Forum, was held by President of the Management Board – Mariusz Grendowicz. Subsequently, there was a speech, given by Prof. Marek Belka Ph.D. referring to financial market vs. economy of low interest rates.
Following panels, monitored by Mr Ryszard Petru (perspectives of financing sector after 5 years of crysis) and Maciej Bardana (Risk management and constraints for banks and insurers) gathered participants, as follows: President of the Management Board Prof. Małgorzata Zaleska (NBP), President of the Management Board Bogusław Kott (Bank Millennium), President of the Management Board Mateusz Morawiecki (BZ WBK), Chairman Andrzej Jakubiak (KNF), President of the Management Board Tomasz Bogus (Bank Pocztowy).
First day of the Banking & Insurance Leaders meeting culminated in the Evening Gala, during which the Special Prize of Banking Forum Program Board was awarded to Prof. Marek Belka Ph.D. The President of NBP was awarded the prize for his pragmatism, approach towards market and boosting independence of NBP.
The second day of the conference consisted of specialist discussions. What is more, there were three theme blocks going on simultaneously:
– Banking Forum, e.g. green banking, with participation of Mrs Dominika Kulczyk-Lubomirska (Green Cross Poland) and President of the Management Board Mariusz Klimczak (BOŚ), as well as panel concerning mortgage credits, in which participated, among others, President of the Management Board Grzegorz Piwowar (Pekao) and President of the Management Board Cezary Kocik (BRE).
– Banking Forum – Payments and innovations in banking sector. In this panel we may distinguish such speakers as: representatives of European Commission, NBP, Ministry of Finance, MasterCard, Visa, as well as representatives of Telecom industry (T-Mobile).
– Insurance Forum, began from Mr Justin Wray’s speech (EIOPA) and President of the Management Board Zbigniew Derdziuk’s (ZUS) speech, which referred to the future of pension systems. Subsequently, in discussions took part: President of the Management Board Artur Olech (Generali), President of the Management Board Rafał Hiszpański (Euler Hermes), President of the Management Board Leszek Niemycki (Deutsche Bank PBC), Prime Minister Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz, President of the Management Board Olga Doan (Allianz Life Russia), President of the Managaement Board Maciej Drowanowski (Coface), President of the Management Board Paweł Szczepankowski (Atradius) and many other distinguished guests.
On the second day of the conference, simultaneously with Warsaw International Banking Summit and Insurance Forum, workshops on Innovative debt collection at time of digitization of judicature were held. Numerous guests were witnesses of discussions concerning the most important issues for debt collection sector. Among speakers of the workshops we could distinguish representatives of administration, as well as people stricly connected with business. Workshops were organised in co-operation with Rączkowski Kwieciński advocates partnership.

We would like to invite you to the spring edition of Banking & Insurance Leaders meeting 2014, which will be composed of two parts: 7th Banking Forum and 3rd Insurance Forum. The conference will take place on 9-10th of April, 2014. The first day of the conference will be culminated in 3rd Grand Gala of Leaders in Banking & Insurance World.
