The 22nd Banking Forum and the 18th Insurance Forum, organized as part of the Meeting of Banking and Insurance Leaders, will be held on October 25-26, 2021 in a hybrid formula: stationary at The Westin Warsaw hotel and online. During the next edition of the event, the invited experts will analyze the condition of the Polish economy and indicate the priorities of the banking and insurance sectors in the new reality.
The Congress is a cyclical meeting bringing together key personalities and companies from the banking and insurance sector. It is an excellent opportunity for debates on the most important issues, problems, opportunities and challenges for everyone interested in what is and will be happening in the financial services industry.
“This conference, organized every year, brings together the most outstanding and most important representatives of the sector and cooperating institutions. (…) It is worth drawing experiences, discussing the lessons we learn from what the pandemic has changed in our lives. We are dealing with a collapse on a global scale. The economic shock caused by the pandemic has spread to all continents and almost all countries. I can risk the thesis that this time the banks were prepared for this situation ”- commented prof. Adam Glapiński, President of the National Bank of Poland.
The inaugural panel of the congress will be based on a discussion on the image of Poland one and a half years after the pandemic began. Experts will analyze the dynamics of economic growth, the impact of the National Reconstruction Plan on the financial sector, as well as provide economic forecasts for the coming decades. The long-term vision of Poland in pursuit of the European Green Deal will also be discussed. Another topic will be the future of the banking sector in the context of organizational, technological and regulatory changes. Panelists will consider, among others, new models used in banking and changes in customer behavior. As part of the segment dedicated to technological strategies for the development of the financial sector, the debate will be based on three aspects: changes in the post-covid19 period and digital transformation, the use of cloud technology as well as data management. Additionally, there will be an attempt to compare the financial sector with other sectors in terms of competitiveness and the advantages of new entrants.
On the second day of the conference, the speakers will examine trends in Customer Experience in banking and insurance and the process of designing customer experience in the digital sphere. New models of insurance distribution and customer service will also be discussed. The area of payments will be commented on – cash and cashtech security strategy, trends in cash and non-cash transactions, direction and implications of monetary policy, as well as the most important legislative aspects of the EU regarding payments. Part of the discussion will be dedicated to observations on the development of electromobility in the insurance industry. There will also be issues related to changes in the labor market and a review of work models present on the financial market. The two-day congress will end with a block on cybersecurity in terms of remote and hybrid work, customer education and regulation.
The congress is carried out as part of the activities of MMC Polska, which organizes prestigious congresses, conferences, workshops, and business training dedicated to managerial staff and company boards. More at www.mmcpolska.pl.
